Huntsman Textile Effects and Bao Minh Textile, a woven fabric producer in Vietnam, have decided to come together for the development of fabrics suitable for isolation gowns.
The fabrics would be treated with Huntsman Textile Effect barrier effect solution to meet all the requirements and safety standards for the manufacturing of high-quality medical gowns.
The collaboration is also to encounter the growing demand of medical gowns for the frontliners fighting COVID-19.
Bao Minh Textile would treat 760,000 metres of woven fabric with Huntsman Textile Effects barrier solution, the amount suitable for the production of 435,000 high-grade isolation gowns.
Moreover, the isolation gown relies on a range of Huntsman pretreatment, dyeing and finishing solution.
The range of treatments by Huntsman used for the manufacturing of these isolation gowns include CLARITE ONE, an all-in-one pretreatment for peroxide bleaching, PHOBOL® CP-C, an oil, water and stain repellent finish, NOVACRON® and TERASIL® dyes and PHOBOTEX® RSY, a non-fluorinated durable water repellent with extremely high washing resistance. PHOBOL® EXTENDER XAN is also applied to further increase wash durability.
The Huntsman Textile Effects has a complete range of barrier effects for both woven and non-woven medical applications, face masks and other PPE equipments.
