American & Efird (A&E), renowned thread maker and portfolio company of Elevate Textiles, celebrated the completion of its 28th global manufacturing facility with the grand opening ceremony of its new plant in Vietnam.
The new state-of-the-art facility at Nhon Trach Industrial Park 6, Dong Nai Province gives a major boost to A&E’s endeavour to become the preferred global supplier of industrial sewing thread, embroidery thread and technical textiles.
The new facility provides additional support for apparel and non-apparel sewn product manufacturers in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
Besides, it supports its commitment to produce premium quality thread products in the most sustainable manner and aligns the company with the stupendous growth of the sewn products industry in this region and provides the ability for future expansion.

And there can’t be more convenient location than Dong Nai to offer all its support to industry!
The new unit is 37 km from Cat Lai port and 50 km from Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, the distance to Long Thanh Airport is just 20 km.
Speaking about the new facility, Chris Alt, President, A&E, said “Vietnam is an important country for the textile and apparel sewn industry. It is the second largest exporter of apparel to the USA and one of the largest global producers of apparel and non-apparel products. Setting up in Vietnam with manufacturing is very strategic to our future growth.”
A&E Vietnam, which began its construction back in June 2018, went operational on 1 June 2019, adding over 150 new jobs to the region.
Through its global network, A&E’s products are manufactured in 22 countries, distributed in 50 countries and sold in more than 100 countries.
