Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc warmly welcomed Tao Hui, Director General of Texhong Textile Group from China, one of the largest core cotton textile suppliers in the world, on Friday (6 March).
The company, which has its headquarters in Shanghai, has a production base located in Vietnam with a total production capacity of over 2,160,000 spindles and 572 air-jet looms.
During the meeting, Texhong was cited as an example of those Chinese companies that have been instrumental in enhancing the relations between both the countries.
A notable fact is that the Vietnamese ministries and localities supported the company’s as well as the country’s fight against the major health crisis – COVID-19.
This was also highlighted by the Chinese official as the group plans to expand its investment in Vietnam.
Additionally, the company plans to put US $ 500 million into its manufacturing base in Vietnam!
PM Phuc expressed to consider the proposal and extended his regards to workers of the Chinese projects in Vietnam.
The Chinese counterpart of the meeting expressed a desire to quickly complete the formalities related to the transport of goods and materials, besides helping high-level managers and officials of Texhong to work in Vietnam.
