Manufacturing Sportswear Joint Stock Company, or MXP JSC, which is one of the prominent apparel manufacturing companies in Vietnam, has begun the construction of its another factory in the Quynh Phu district of Thai Binh Province.
The new factory – its seventh factory (MXP7) in the country – will be set up on an area of 80,000 square metres and will employ a workforce of up to 3,500 people.
To be built at a cost of US $ 16 million, the new factory will be equipped with modern production lines that have the annual capacity to produce 2 million products.
MXP7, hailed as an important project in firm’s current strategy of high-tech investment, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
This project, reportedly, holds significance in regard to the company’s efforts to apply modern technology to attain its long-term development strategy of becoming the leading smart factory in Vietnam’s garment and textile industry.
Substantiating further, Tran Quang Hao, Sales Director, MXP, said “Coupled with our investment strategy in 4.0 technology and our continual focus on qualified human resources in 2019, investing in MXP7 is crucial to MXP’s competitive advantages.”
MXP intends to increase its number of employees from 15,000 to 30,000 by the year 2030 and is also planning to enhance its annual capacity from 10 million to 20 million products.
