The USA has imported US $ 6.38 billion worth of cotton trousers during Jan.-May ’22 period, growing by 39.19 per cent on yearly basis.
The data was recently released by OTEXA and further studied by Apparel Resources.
Bangladesh remained the top shipper of cotton trousers to USA as the US buyers sourced US $ 1.50 billion worth of cotton trousers from the country, noting 48.76 per cent Y-o-Y growth.
Vietnam shipped US $ 1.05 billion cotton trouser shipment to USA in the said period and grew by 31 per cent on yearly basis.
China’s exports of cotton trousers have increased by 20.91 per cent in Jan.-May 2022 period clocking US $ 752.52 million export revenues from its largest export destination.
Pakistan (US $ 507.26 million), Mexico (US $ 426.82 million), Cambodia (US $ 358.27 million) and Indonesia (US $ 368.95 million) have also remained impressive shippers in the US market during the first 5-month period of 2022.
India maintained its eight position in tally with US $ 224.10 million worth of cotton trouser exports to the USA and grew by around 50 per cent on yearly basis.
