According to OTEXA, US swimwear imports have gone up by 39.83 per cent in Jan.-Apr. ’22 period to US $ 816.78 million.
This value is almost same as the entire 2020 values as it took just four months of 2022 for US buyers to get back to normal in swimwear sourcing, while the same is going to cross the entire 2021 value in not more than one month from April!
Analysing OTEXA data, Apparel Resources further found that USA imported US $ 253.61 million worth of swimwear in the first four months of 2022 from China, noting 50.43 per cent Y-o-Y surge over the same period of 2021.
Vietnam’s swimwear export to USA remained positive too as it grew 35 per cent to clock US $ 234.32 million export revenues in the stated period.
Indonesia – the third largest swimwear shipper to the US – exported US $ 86.86 million worth of swimwear to USA in the first four months of 2022.
Bangladesh remained on fourth spot with US $ 52.60 million worth of swimwear shipment to USA in 2022’s Jan-Feb. period.
