Kidswear imports by USA have grown decently in January to May 2022 period, as per the latest data released by OTEXA.
US kidswear buyers sourced US $ 1.15 billion worth of kids clothing products in the first 5-month period of 2022, noting 23 per cent Y-o-Y growth.
The import of kidswear from China, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam has remained significantly higher than the previous year.
Shipment of kidswear from China to USA valued US $ 253 million, up 22 per cent Y-o-Y, while India stood at the 2nd position with US $ 198.59 million worth of kidswear exports to USA, growing impressively by 33.81 per cent on Y-o-Y.
It’s worth noting here that, together, India and China constituted over 39 per cent of kidswear that USA has imported in the first five months.
After falling in its kidswear shipment to USA during January ’22 by 10 per cent, Vietnam has been reviving its shipment of kids clothing. The US imports in this category from Vietnam reached US $ 171 million in Jan.-May ’22, growing cumulatively by around 18.40 per cent.
Bangladesh’s shipment to USA in kids clothing experienced constant growth of 17.40 per cent to US $ 126.62 million during the said period.
