Cotton Day Vietnam 2020 is just less than a week away and this time it’s going to be held virtually.
Come 22 September (Tuesday), the event will be held online for the first time – keeping in mind the public health and safety of people in Vietnam.
The announcement was made at a recently concluded press meet by the Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS) and the US Cotton Council International (CCI) in Vietnam.
VITAS and CCI are the organisers of the Cotton Day Vietnam event.
The event has always opened opportunities for local manufacturers, retailers and exporters of the industry to closely interact with partners of the American cotton industry. It’s going to be no different this time.
The virtual event will see participation from Michael Duke, CEO, Walmart Stores; Willis Sparks, Director of Global Macro at Eurasia Group; Vu Duc Giang, President, VITAS and Ricky Clarke, President, CCI.
Besides, there will be Gary Adams, President and CEO, National Cotton Council of America (NCC); Hank Reichle, CCI board chairman and Bruce Atherley, Executive Director, CCI.
The experts will provide latest updates of cotton industry across the globe in these tough times, in addition to making all aware of sustainable development goals of US cotton industry and supporting measures for businesses impacted by the pandemic.
Cotton Day first came to Vietnam back in 2017 and since then has become an annual September event in the country, attracting all big and small textile and apparel firms across Vietnam.
