Vietnam is not only a big but also a growing apparel manufacturing destination. However, it lacks the import of domestically produced yarns, fabrics and trims. To bring the vendors to garment manufacturers, Vietnam International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition (VTG) organizes an exhibition every year that attracts hundreds of exhibitors from across the globe. At the current show (16th edition), slated to be held from 23-26 November 2016, about 250 exhibitors at 550 booths from 15 countries will showcase their products.
VTG 2016 will witness participation from around 250 exhibitors from 15 countries showcasing their products and innovations.

This year again, the fair will focus on segments like spinning machinery and accessories, looms, yarn processing machinery and accessories, weaving machinery and accessories, bleaching and washing machines, chemicals and dyes, embroidery equipment, knitting machinery, testing equipment, textile screen printing machinery, etc. Such wide ranging exhibits show how much Vietnamese textile and garment sector has to offer to the world.
At the event, HIKARI, a Chinese company, will exhibit sewing machines specifically for knits, all of which work on a direct-drive motor and are equipped with an auto-trimmer and are computerized. The H8800E-7C model by the company is a high-speed lockstitch machine with a built-in control box and an inner auto foot lifter. Another machine by HIKARI – HX6914T-03, is a high-speed 4-thread overlock machine with a cylinder-bed and a pneumatic side-suction auto-trimmer that makes it easy for extra thread to be removed from the finished seam. Along with these, the company will display more versions of its overlock, flatlock, bar-tacking and buttoning machines, with a new version of their 13-needle chainstitch machine.
“Vietnam is among the top three largest garment markets in Asia and thanks to the good policies and support from its Government, garment industry in the country is booming which helps attract more foreign investment and opens up more opportunities for sewing machinery manufacturers,” said Kyle Lee, HIKARI (Shanghai) Precise Machinery Science and Technology Co. Ltd.
Over the course of time, the four-day show has seen a gradual increase in footfall each year as interest in textile, garment, and accessories firms has also been on the rise in Vietnam… And the 2016 edition of VTG will also continue with the aim to attract trade visitors, buyers, and executives from textile and apparel companies and regional research institutions worldwide.
