Suuchi Ramesh, founder of US-based apparel manufacturing company Suuchi Inc., recently bagged the ‘Entrepreneur Of The Year’ award in a special gala at the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick, Canada.
The award ceremony was organized by an England-based multinational professional services firm Ernst & Young which identified 12 entrepreneurs of different industries located at New Jersey region of the USA. Suuchi got accolades for her immense contribution to boost apparel manufacturing in the US.
Suuchi beat Michael Caringi of Manufacturers Edge, USA in the ‘Manufacturing’ category to bag the award.
While receiving the award, Suuchi Ramesh delivered a strong message and commented, “Our team is 80% women. We come from 27 different nationalities. 60% of us are in their 50s, 60s, & 70s…I want to say today that this isn’t about me. This is about my team. Thank you EY. We are so happy to be awarded EY Entrepreneur of the year 2018 NJ.”
It’s worth mentioning here that Suuchi is catching up with the lost opportunities in apparel manufacturing in the US with its state-of-the-art, vertically integrated supply chain that delivers the garment product as quickly as five days. To fulfil the commitment, Suuchi Inc. works on a simple but effective method, Hyper-Speed to the market.
Being the regional award winner, Suuchi has now become eligible for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards which will be held in Palm Springs, California, USA on 10th November this year.
“For more than 3 decades, EY has been recognizing leading entrepreneurs who do things differently,” commented Debra von Storch, Director (Entrepreneur Of The Year Program), EY Americas.
A big congratulations to the young lady from Team Apparel Resources.
