Of all those products that have seen growth in the US apparel market so far in 2021, kidswear is the one that has remained promising.
According to OTEXA data, kidswear import of the USA has surged by 35.83 per cent to US $ 935.50 million in Jan.-May ’21 period.
All major Asian apparel exporting destinations have seen Y-o-Y growth in their respective shipments of kids clothing during the mentioned period.
China topped the list with US $ 207.39 million worth of kidswear export to USA, noting 47.85 per cent yearly growth in Jan.-May ’21.
India and Vietnam competed well with each other and clocked almost similar revenues. India shipped US $ 148.41 million worth of kidswear to USA, marking 38.71 per cent Y-o-Y growth, whereas Vietnam’s shipment valued US $ 144.41 million and the South East Asian country noted 49.81 per cent Y-o-Y surge.
Bangladesh too grew by 23.87 per cent and accommodated exports of kidswear and related products worth US $ 107.85 million in Jan.-May ’21 period.
