Vietnam has noted a marginal growth of 1.10 per cent in its garment and textile exports during Q1 ’21, according to official statistics.
The South East Asian country clocked US$7.20 billion from its exports, as says the data released by General Statistics Office.
In March alone, the exports of garment and textile rose 15.30 per cent on Y-o-Y basis to around US$2.70 billion.
The growth is attributed to an influx of orders for a good period and many of the garment enterprises of the country claim they are booked till this August and the same has been confirmed by the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association.
“The recovery of global demand following the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines around the world is expected to bring more positive impacts to the market,” said the association.
It’s worth recalling that Vietnam’s garment exports declined by 10.20 per cent in 2020, tapping roughly US $ 29.5 billion.
