SaigonTex 2019, one of the biggest technology events in Vietnam, opened on 10 April at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City amidst lot of fervour and enthusiasm.
Like every year, the four-day event offers all domestic and international apparel and textile companies best opportunities to promote their brands and diversify their market.
Some of the best brands in technology are currently showcasing a wide range of their latest machines, automation technologies and feedstock for the garment and textile industry at the event. The fair has attracted over 1,000 exhibitors from 24 countries including China, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and India, among others.
While inaugurating the event, Vu Duc Giang, Chairman, Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) said that the 2019 event will enable businesses get access to more information and advanced cutting technologies to directly invest in raw materials.
The Chairman said this will further help in satisfying all the requirements of customers in a short time and thereby contribute to the overall growth of Vietnam’s textile sector.
Le Tien Truong, General Director, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), expressed happiness to see the country’s textile industry improve the quality of human resources and equipment in recent years.
He added that the industry should push ahead with reforms to effectively handle all the global challenges. He urged businesses to create new tools to increase competition, including technology and productivity.
SaigonTex 2019 will also feature many seminars where experts from Vietnam and other countries will talk about the new economic trends and technologies.
