Three workers were killed on Saturday (22 February) at Polytex Far Eastern’s construction site in the industrial park of Bau Bang in Binh Duong province, Southern Vietnam.
The incident occured when a 20 metre tall crane fell on the workers at a time when several workers were busy working at the site.
The workers got trapped under the crane and it took lot of efforts on the part of authorities and workers to rescue the trapped workers.
While 3 of them died immediately, three others were severly injured. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital; however we haven’t received any updates about the injured workers.
Investigation regarding the accident is currently underway.
It is imperative to note here that Polytex Far Eastern, a business firm based in Taiwan, had received investment certificate to initiate a textile production project in the district of Binh Duong back in 2015.
