In an effort to enhance Vietnam’s apparel and textile industry, the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) has signed an agreement with Sacombank.
The agreement was signed earlier this week by Phan Đình Tuệ , CEO, Sacombank and Vũ Đức Giang, Chairman, VITAS.
What’s the deal all about!
In addition to offering credit at preferential interest rates, it will also give financial and banking solutions to textile and apparel firms so as to help them optimise their business activities.
While speaking at the signing ceremony, Phan Đình Tuệ said “Sacombank has always wanted to join in and collaborate with business groups to gain in-depth understanding of the industry and thus devise more comprehensive solutions for businesses.”
He also averred “The co-operation with VITAS is one of the tasks for Sacombank to realise this policy, so that together [they can] wait for the opportunities brought by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Vũ Đức Giang said that VITAS is committed to support the bank and offer consultancy for projects related to apparel and textile sector.
