Crystal International Group Limited has received accolades for accelerating its efforts towards mitigating climate change.
The intimate factory of Crystal International in Vietnam applied WWF-HK’s Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme (LCMP) for the first time and has been awarded Platinum Label, which makes the recognition more noteworthy.
On the other hand, the China-based intimate factory of the Group renewed LCMP and was also awarded Platinum Label, recognising Crystal’s enduring commitment to low-carbon manufacturing.
It’s worth noting here that the Platinum Label is the highest recognition of WWF’s LCMP to accredit a factory’s outstanding sustainability achievements and significant results in adopting low carbon production practices.
This is the third time since 2012 that an intimate factory in China has received Platinum Label.
Catherine Chiu, General Manager, Corporate Quality and Sustainability Department of Crystal International, commented, “We have been escalating our commitment to climate action and are now focusing on the long-term carbon reduction goal to reduce 30 per cent aggregate greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. As a leading manufacturer, we hope to demonstrate a practical model across the industry to reduce carbon and save energy.”
Crystal International says it rigorously presses on environmental resilience; therefore, it will scale up setting up of a decarbonisation pathway to accomplish long-term climate ambition – all by completing a study of carbon reduction roadmap.
