The imports of apparel and related products by the USA reached US $ 8.14 billion in September ’21, which is more than the values spent by the country on apparels in Sept. ’20 and Sept. ’19.
According to OTEXA data, USA grew by 22.60 per cent on Y-o-Y basis this September, while the growth recorded as compared to Sept. ’19 was 4.76 per cent.
In terms of volumes, USA imported 2,883.30 million SME apparels in Sept. ’21 as against 2,462.18 million SME of apparels in the same month of 2020, noting 17.10 per cent Y-o-Y growth.
As compared to August ’21 – which was the best month for US apparel imports in 2021 – the monthly growth recorded in September was 0.87 per cent…
It’s worth recalling here that USA imported US $ 8.07 billion worth of apparels in August ’21 and, with the impressive imports, September’s import values have surpassed the levels of preceding months with massive margin.
Cumulatively in Jan.-Sept. ’21, USA’s apparel imports have reached US $ 58.58 billion, noting 24.57 per cent Y-o-Y surge.
