There Vnd Then – that’s the new lifestyle concept store launched by two renowned Vietnamese fashionistas in Ho Chi Minh City recently.
With the objective to give shoppers in Vietnam ‘a holistic lifestyle experience’, Boule Nguyen and Huy Dieu converted 4 storeys of a retail building into a 2,800 square metre gallery-style retail environment.
The store houses a curated collection of upmarket streetwear brands, a glass-encased barber shop, frozen-yogurt cafe and a rooftop bar space.
With Boule Nguyen being a clothing retailer in Canada and Huy Dieu having rich experience in Germany’s creative lifestyle sector, Vietnam is sure to get the best of fashion and lifestyle.
Interestingly, the word ‘Vnd’ in ‘There Vnd Then’ is pronounced ‘and’ using an inverted A in reference to Vietnam Dong.
The opening of the store was marked by a 2-day celebration event. The store currently stocks over 70 streetwear brands and limited-edition items, including the likes of Adidas, DRKSHDW by Rick Owens and Heron Preston, among several others.
There Vnd Then intends to come up with another store in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2020 – the long-term vision being to put Vietnam on the world map of contemporary urban culture.
A happy Dieu said “Being able to give something back to the land of my parents means a lot to me and is worth all the sweat, blood, passion and tears we needed for this project.”
