Phong Phu Corporation, one of the leading garment and textile manufacturers and exporters in Vietnam, recently introduced its made-in-Vietnam environment friendly towels.
These Mollis Organic towels, made up of 100 per cent organic cotton, have received good response in the market ever since they were launched. It is worth mentioning that no chemicals or pesticides have been used while manufacturing these towels.
Phong Phu Corporation thus becomes one of the first textile companies in Vietnam to make organic textile products despite high cost of production.
Pham Xuan Trinh, CEO, Phong Phu Corporation said, “The company is focused on making organic textile products available to all its clients despite huge cost of production.”
He further added that the company will continue to invest in organic products despite less profits as making the customers understand the value of organic products is more essential.
Last year, Phong Phu had spent VND 4 billion on doing research and development for organic products.
The towels have been priced according to their sizes and are ranged from VND 60,000 to VND 250,000, which is almost 20 per cent more than the normal products. The Chinese towels are priced at VND 15,000.
While the manufacturing of these towels are done in Vietnam, Phong Phu imports materials from countries like India and Bangladesh as conditions in Vietnam are not favourable for growing organic cotton.
