Kidswear has been one of the growing products in the USA during 2021 and, as per OTEXA, the import value of the same has touched US $ 2.05 billion during the first 10-month period of 2021, noting 32 per cent Y-o-Y surge.
In 2020’s corresponding year, USA could import kidswear worth just US $ 1.56 billion and this implicates sourcing of kids clothing is right back on track this year after COVID-19 woes…
China is still the largest kidswear exporter to USA even as the country has been facing serious backlash over unethical business practices of late!
China clocked US $ 531.71 million in its kids clothing shipment to USA in Jan.-Oct. ’21 period noting 41 per cent yearly growth.
Vietnam edged ahead of India with US $ 312.90 million shipment value in kidswear segment, while the latter hit export turnover of US $ 300.13 million in the US market during the review period, noting 32.87 per cent and 48.10 per cent growth, respectively.
It’s worth mentioning here that China, Vietnam and India collectively contributed 55.76 per cent in overall US kidswear import values in Jan.-Oct. ’21 as compared to 52.42 per cent in the same period of previous year.
Bangladesh too upped its kidswear shipment to USA by 22.40 per cent and the export valued US $ 208.13 million during the said period.
