The import of brassieres by the US buyers has been tremendously well in the first half of 2021.
The country has increased by 57.54 per cent to import US $ 1.37 billion worth of brassieres in January-June ’21 period, as per OTEXA data.
China topped the tally with US $ 443.80 million (up 60 per cent) worth of brassieres shipment to USA that is about 32.11 per cent of the US import value.
Vietnam too has noted over 50 per cent yearly growth to ship US $ 266.88 million worth of brassieres to USA in H1 ’21.
Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh have grown significantly by 41.51 per cent, 70.40 per cent and 56.67 per cent to, respectively, export US $ 128.61 million, US $ 128.86 million and US $ 81.63 million worth of brassieres to USA in the mentioned period.
India’s growth wasn’t in sync with the growth tapped by neighbouring countries and the country could just grow by 3.85 per cent to clock US $ 21.65 million worth of brassieres to USA. Notably, countries like Thailand, Colombia, Honduras and El Salvador remained ahead of India in the brassieres shipment to USA in H1 ’21.
