US denim clothing imports have reached US $ 1.25 billion in Jan.-Apr. ’22, according to OTEXA, noting 40.84 per cent Y-o-Y surge.
Though all major denim apparel shippers to the USA have seen an increase in their respective shipment, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt are the ones with highest growth rates.
The imports from Bangladesh have valued US $ 248 million during Jan.-Apr. ’22, growing by 51 per cent on yearly basis and the country remained on top of the tally.
Pakistan experienced significant progress and shipped US $ 152 million (up 72.48 per cent) worth of denim garments to the US market, staying ahead of Vietnam and China that could clock just US $ 137.37 million (up 40.94 per cent) and US $ 110.64 million (up 20.23 per cent) in their respective denim apparel exports to the USA.
Egypt has performed phenomenally well as it noted 126 per cent growth in its denim apparel shipment to the USA and clocked US $ 71.70 million export revenues in Jan.-Apr. ’22.
