Kidswear imports continue to be on upward trajectory as it reached US $ 485.48 million in Jan.-Feb. ’22 period, noting 21.34 per cent Y-o-Y growth.
The import of kidswear from China, India and Vietnam is seeing significant increase, while the same is growing just marginally from Bangladesh.
US kidswear buyers imported US $ 119.74 million worth of babies clothing from China in Jan.-Feb. ’22, growing 24 per cent on yearly basis, while the same valued US $ 76 million from India as the shipment grew by 24.81 per cent on Y-o-Y basis.
It’s worth noting here that, together, India and China constituted over 41 per cent of kidswear that USA has imported in the first two months.
After falling in its kidswear shipment to USA during January ’22 by 10 per cent, Vietnam has paced up in February. The USA’s kids clothing import from Vietnam reached US $ 69 million in Jan.-Feb. ’22, growing by around 20 per cent.
Bangladesh’s shipment to USA in kids clothing experienced just a decent improvement of 4.37 per cent to US 50.39 million during the said period.
