According to OTEXA data, kidswear import of the USA has increased by 30.18 per cent to US $ 1.80 billion in Jan.-Sep. ’21 period.
All major Asian apparel exporting destinations have seen Y-o-Y growth in their respective shipments of kidswear during the mentioned period, with China topping the tally.
China accounted for US $ 463.25 million worth of kidswear import of USA and grew by 37.85 per cent on Y-o-Y basis during the review period.
Vietnam stayed ahead of India in kidswear shipment to USA and clocked US $ 274.77 million export revenues, noting 32.68 per cent yearly growth, while India clocked US $ 259.53 million from its respective kidswear exports to USA, growing by around 45.40 per cent.
Bangladesh marked a good presence with US $ 190.92 million (up 24.62 per cent) worth of kidswear shipment to USA during Jan.-Sep. ’21.
The positive kidswear sourcing by the USA is likely to continue till year end as shopping for holiday season in the USA begins from October onwards.
