IMA Spa, a leading Italian cutting room technology provider for fashion, textile, automotive and aligned industries, has announced its successful exhibit in the recently concluded Texprocess Frankfurt in Germany.
The company launched a plethora of high-tech machinery and equipment for the fashion and textile industry.
As per Mirella Sardini, President, IMA Spa, one of the most talked about launches was IMA 890 DUAL – a spreader (with PC) – that can also work as unroller. “Therefore, we have combined two machines in one. So the machine can work both for single ply line and for multi-layers line. We have filed a patent for this machine,” commented Mirella.
Mirella further informed that IMA 890 DUAL is only viable for certain markets and only for certain productions such as Italy and Europe rather than for Asian markets.
Another product that got key attention from the visitors was AMI which is the new software that governs the latest generation of IMA cutters.
The new POLARIS 908 labelling machine with PC on board was also introduced to the market in Texprocess. POLARIS 908 is the latest innovation on IMA’s labelling machines. Unlike the previous model, it is entirely governed by a PC on board. The HMI that resides on this PC allows greater flexibility in operations and an easy possibility of connecting even remotely using the TeamViewer platform.
Last but not the least is the launch of the 921.30 cutter with a series of upgrades and improvements. The changes have been made starting from AMI software and then an increased vacuum has been integrated which is more powerful and managed in a different way, new sharpening system and multi-tool accessory.
Apart from these launches, as Mirella shared, two renderings from two different perspectives of a newly complete CONCEPT line with completely new covers and colours are ready, but as IMA focuses to bring freshness on an aesthetic level, it will proceed with the industrialisation of the product/line after getting feedback from customers.
“Then we expect to have this standard line also on the other products for the ITMA 2023 appointment. At the moment only the 890 D (Dual) spreader/unroller will come out with these new covers, while all the other machines for a while ‘will stay with the current line,” concluded Mirella.
It’s worth noting here that IMA Spa will be celebrating its 45th year anniversary this year in October. Incorporated in 1967, IMA Spa celebrated its 40th anniversary at its headquarters in Palazzolo, Italy in 2017.
