Fashion Enterprise – a leading Vietnam-based manufacturer – has extended its partnership with FIBRETRACE and Good Earth Cotton to promote climate positive and traceable fibres across the global textile and fashion supply chain.
The partnership allows Fashion Enterprise to provide its customers with access to authentic Australian-grown, carbon positive and natural fibres, from farm to finished garment, while maintaining a high standard of operations.
Fashion Enterprise, in partnership with leading Vietnamese spinning and textiles mills, collaborates closely with global buyers and brands to find sustainable solutions for their supply chain, from design through to final shipment.
Terming Good Earth Cotton and FIBRETRACE as the future for the fashion industry, Rodney Thanh, CEO at Fashion Enterprise, commented, “Good Earth Cotton combined with FIBRETRACE is an indomitable tool for the global textile and fashion industry that allows brands to thoughtfully stay in control of their supply chain, whilst allowing customers to see the full journey of how their garments were made and who made them. This is true traceability and visibility.”
It is said that, by purchasing Good Earth Cotton, the brands remain aware of the fact that the cotton they have purchased has been produced with the lowest environmental impact possible, actively reducing and sequestering carbon from the atmosphere.
In a press note sent to Apparel Resources, FIBRETRACE says its physical and digital technology allows brands to go beyond paper certification, verifying and auditing the fibre content in real-time as it moves throughout the global supply chain.
It’s worth noting here that Vietnam is one of the largest import markets for Australian cotton. The country’s textile industry has continuously grown at an average rate of 17 per cent annually and the partnership highlights growing industry needs to adopt more circular and sustainable business models globally and support a fully transparent and traceable supply chain that moves toward climate positive outcomes.
